It is written more for those interested in tracing their family history, but the 'directories' and 'history' links would appeal very much to anyone interested in the history of Staveley Hall and Staveley. The forum (again for those tracing their family history) is very active .
The Domesday Book Online is a new and excellent resource - currently (August 06) unreachable - it is so busy with people eager to check it!
Genealogy Web has an entry about Staveley in the Domesday Book. Apparently Hascoit Musard, a Breton Noble had the great barony of Staveley as his chief domain in 1086..
