We hold monthly meetings/activities in the Stables at Staveley Hall on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm (apart from August and January). Please see the Events calender for information on upcoming meetings, visiting lecturers, and activities. In addition to our monthly meetings/activities we have a small room in Staveley Hall where some of our members meet regularly to organise and work on projects.
Event Review: Visit to Mayors Parlour, Chesterfield Town Hall: 8 November 2011.
We had our December 2011 Lecture Night as a Free and Easy with Photo's, a Quiz, and talks about local places, the member's enjoyed the Wine and Mince-pies and we did over run our alloted time.
Alan, Mick and John, who are members of the committee are giving a talk to the ladies of the Woodthorpe W.I. at the Methodist Church in Staveley on Monday 16th January 2012 at 7.00 p.m.
Our next meeting is on Monday February 7th 2012, with a talk by Mr. Terry Crofts O.B.E. entitled :- From Ireland Colliery to Poolsbrook Country Park.
The March the 6th meeting is by Joan Ward, entitled :- Notorious Felons.
Which brings us around to our April the 3rd meeting which is also our A.G.M. this is always a short event, so we also have a speaker as well, this is still to be arranged.
We hope to get our website up and running from Staveley Hall once we have mastered the Web from the Council site and have a return e-mail address.
