If you have anything you might like to contribute to the local history, memories of Staveley, or gallery sections, please contact the SHS using the contact link The Society section.
Community Archaeology at Staveley Hall
From 2010, community archaeology has returned to Staveley Hall as part of the Staveley Town Council's Heart of Staveley project. More about the ongoing community archaeology projects and opportunities to get involved can be found in the Archaeology section, and more about the Heart of Staveley project can be found on the Staveley Town Council's website.
In 2005-2006, two seasons of community archaeology led by Frank Robinson and the Staveley History Society investigated aspects of the 17th century hall built by Sir Peter de Frechevilles. More details about these excavtions can be found in the Archaeology section.
